mylNotes is a note-taking app for Android and the web (the apps and the sites notes.my-ver.app and mylnotes.my-ver.app). This page says what the app keeps, what it sends to our server and what we do with it. In short: your notes stay on your device unless you create an account and sync them.

Without an account

You can use mylNotes without an account in the Android app. Your notes, groups and settings are stored on your device (in the storage of the app or of the browser). Nothing is sent to our server. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

If you create an account

An account is needed only to sync your notes between devices (and to use the web version). We then keep:

Sync starts only when you press “Sync now” in the app (the web version also syncs once right after you sign in).

Sign in with Google

mylNotes offers “Continue with Google” as a way to sign in. It uses the basic Google sign-in scopes (openid, e-mail address and profile).

You can stop using Google sign-in at any time by deleting your account, and you can remove mylNotes from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. The use by mylNotes of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

E-mails

We send e-mails only for your account: the confirmation code, the password reset code and, if you write to us from the app, our reply. They are sent through the e-mail service Resend.

Feedback

If you use “Send feedback” in the app, we receive your message, the version of the app, your platform and, if you are signed in, your e-mail address so that we can answer.

Where the data is kept

The server is a virtual server of DigitalOcean in London (United Kingdom). The site is served through Caddy; the address my-ver.app is managed at Cloudflare (DNS only). We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone except these service providers, who handle it only to run the service, and when the law requires it.

Sharing

A note leaves your device only when you sync it, or share, export or send it yourself. What you send to others is out of our control.

Deleting your data

Deleting a note removes it from your device; the next sync removes it from the server too. In the app, Menu → Profile → Email and password → Delete account removes your account, your sessions and all synced notes from the server. Clearing the data of the app or of the browser removes the notes kept on that device, so export them first if you want a copy. Old server backups (at most the last ten) are replaced as new ones are made. If you cannot delete your account in the app (for example, you signed in only with Google and have no password), use “Forgot password” to set one, or write to us through “Send feedback”.

Children

mylNotes is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact

When the app changes in a way that affects your data, we will update this page and its date. You can reach us with “Send feedback” in the app (Menu → More).
